Privacy Policy

1. Our approach to children's privacy
QuizPrepHub is designed for students in Grades 3–12, so children's privacy is the starting point of our design, not an afterthought. We collect the minimum data needed to run the service, we never sell personal data, and we never show third-party targeted advertising to children. For students under 13, we require verifiable consent from a parent, guardian, or school acting with parental authorization, consistent with COPPA, GDPR-K, and similar frameworks.
2. What we collect
For students: a display name (a pseudonym is fine), grade level, country, quiz answers, scores, XP, streaks, and technical basics like device type. Student email is optional when joining through a teacher's class code. For teachers and parents: name, email, and billing details if you subscribe to Premium. We do not request home addresses, phone numbers, or photos from students.
3. How we use data
Quiz responses power your progress page, rankings, and recommendations. Aggregated, de-identified data helps us find questions that are confusing or mis-keyed and improve the library. We use email to deliver the service (class invites, assignment reminders, receipts) and, for adults who opt in, product updates.
4. Leaderboards
Leaderboards display your chosen display name, flag, grade, and XP. Students can use pseudonyms, and parents, teachers, or students can opt out of public leaderboards entirely in settings — private class leaderboards remain available to the class teacher.
5. Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers who help us operate (hosting, payments, email delivery) under strict contracts, with schools/teachers for their own students' classroom activity, and where required by law. If QuizPrepHub is acquired, data remains protected under this policy or a successor at least as protective.
6. Parental and student rights
Parents and guardians may review their child's data, request corrections or deletion, and withdraw consent at any time by contacting privacy@quizprephub.com or through account settings. Schools may exercise these rights for rosters they manage. Where GDPR applies, you also have rights to access, portability, restriction, and objection, and may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
7. Data retention and security
Account data is kept while the account is active and deleted or de-identified within 90 days of a deletion request. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is limited to staff who need it, and we review our practices regularly. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will notify you as required by law.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies for login sessions; these are always on. With your permission we also use Google Analytics cookies to understand which pages and features are used. We ask when you first visit, nothing from Google is loaded or stored until you accept, and you can decline or change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer; we ask again after a year. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, and we do not use any analytics cookies on pages used by signed-in students under 13.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will notify account holders by email and, for changes affecting children's data, obtain fresh consent where required. This policy was last updated on July 1, 2026.
